Refund Policy

How refunds work for SlashSnip PRO purchases.

1. Subscription PRO refunds

You can cancel your PRO subscription at any time from your account page. After cancellation, PRO features remain available until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the subscription does not renew again.

You may request a refund of the most recent subscription charge within thirty (30) days of that charge by contacting us at support@slashsnip.com. Older charges and renewals beyond the thirty-day window are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law.

2. Lifetime PRO refunds

A Lifetime PRO purchase is refundable in full within thirty (30) days of the original purchase. Refund requests after the thirty-day window will be considered only when required by applicable consumer protection law.

Lifetime is a one-time purchase intended for long-term personal use. The license is paired with the email used at checkout and is non-transferable. Resale, gifting, sublicensing, account-sharing, or use of one license across multiple independent users is a violation of the Terms of Service and grounds for revocation without refund.

3. What happens to your access on refund

When a refund is issued:

  • Subscription PRO — PRO features end at the period boundary we choose at refund time (typically immediately or at the end of the current cycle). Free-tier features continue to work without interruption.
  • Lifetime PRO — the license key is added to a revocation list. The Extension may grant PRO for a brief offline grace window after the last successful validation, but PRO access ends on subsequent online checks. Local snippets, categories, and other free-tier data remain on your device.

4. Lifetime cap and refunded seats

Lifetime is offered against a published cap of seats. To prevent refund-cycling abuse (buy → refund → buy again to drain the cap), a refunded Lifetime seat continues to count against the cap until an operator restores it manually after review. This means the public "remaining seats" counter reflects sold tickets, not the number of currently active license holders.

5. Disputes and chargebacks

Filing a dispute with your payment provider does not, by itself, end your entitlement. We track disputes when we receive the corresponding webhook from our payment processor. If the dispute is later closed against you (we win the dispute and the funds remain with us), your access continues unchanged. If the dispute is closed in your favor and the funds are returned to you (we "lose" the dispute), the corresponding license is revoked using the same mechanism as a refund.

We strongly prefer that you contact us directly at support@slashsnip.com before filing a chargeback. In most cases we can resolve billing problems faster than a payment provider dispute.

6. How to request a refund

Email support@slashsnip.com from the email address you used at checkout. Please include:

  • The plan you purchased (subscription PRO or Lifetime PRO).
  • The approximate purchase date.
  • A short reason for the refund request (optional but helpful).

We aim to acknowledge refund requests within five (5) business days. Stripe typically returns funds to the original payment method within five to ten (5–10) business days after we initiate the refund.

7. Relationship to the Terms of Service

This Refund Policy is part of the Terms of Service. If anything here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms of Service controls.
